Why marketers increasingly downplay sustainability efforts

Wren Montgomery spoke to Marketing Dive about greenhushing, which refers to the issuing of communications that understate environmental achievements. Greenhushing happens for a number of reasons, and is becoming more common as regulators crack down on green marketing.

“The crackdown on greenwashing really makes a lot of companies think twice before they say something.”
